SOM a Multi Use and Staple in Packing
A Sewn Open Mouth (SOM) multi-wall paper bag is a widely used industrial packaging option made for dry, flowable products. This style features an open top and a factory sealed bottom, with the open end sewn shut after filling.
These bags are filled through a hopper or vertical spout, making them suitable for both manual and automated packing systems. After filling, the user closes the top with sewing thread. An optional easy open pull tape allows for quick and clean discharge.

From there, the open bag moves to a sewing head, where it can be closed by hand or through automation. Once sealed, the bag continues on to the pallet for shipment.
