Conductive Type C Bulk Bags

Explosive environments leave no margin for error. Type C bulk bags are engineered for maximum safety, giving you a dependable solution that protects both people and product when it matters most.

Example of Type C Bag

What is a Type C FIBC?

Type C bulk bags are constructed from woven conductive fabric or from non-conductive fabric interlaced with conductive threads. These threads are arranged in a grid pattern and connected to grounding points.

By dissipating electrostatic charges through grounding, Type C bags provide safe transport for flammable products. They may be used in areas where flammable materials or gases are present outside the bag. To function correctly, however, a Type C FIBC must always be grounded during both filling and discharge.

Designed With Safety in Mind

When handling sensitive powders or working in environments with flammable gases or vapors, static control is critical. Without protection, a single spark can trigger a fire or explosion. Electrostatic FIBCs are built for this challenge, with Type C and Type D bags engineered to manage static safely and reduce the risk of ignition.

Benefits of Type C Bags

  • Dissipates static electricity through grounding

  • Protects against sparks and discharges
  • Safe for solvents, flammable powders and combustible products when grounded

  • Cost-effective alternative to Type D bags

When To Choose Type C Bulk Bags

Type C bulk bags should always be grounded during use. They are suitable for:

  • Transporting flammable powders
  • Environments where flammable vapors, gases or combustible dusts are present

When You Should Not Use Type C Bulk Bags

  • If a proper ground connection is missing or damaged
  • If resistance exists between any part of the bag and the grounding point
