What Are Type D Bulk Bags?
Type D bulk bags are engineered from specialized woven fabric that dissipates electrostatic charge safely without the need for grounding. Conductive threads or quasi-conductive yarns within the fabric release static into the atmosphere through controlled, low-energy corona discharge. In some cases, a low-resistivity lining is added to further reduce the risk of ignition.
Type D FIBCs are designed for use with flammable powders and in environments where flammable gases or vapors may be present. Unlike Type C bags, they do not require grounding during filling or discharge, making them a safer and more convenient option for critical applications.
